WMRMYC Inc The Commodores Cup

The Commodores Cup is a perpetual trophy which was donated to the Wynnum Manly Radio Model Yacht Club Inc in 2008, by Commodore John McLachlan, to recognise the member skipper with the lowest overall handicap score each year.

The scoring is taken from :-
The lowest gross handicap score (with no race day discards) for the 6 Winter Handicap series and the 6 Summer Handicap series of each sailing calendar year.

Then an allowance is made of one discard from the Winter series and one discard from the Summer series.

These two discards enable more skippers to be competitive by allowing them to miss one race day from each series.

This year 2010, is the second year, and the results are …..

  • In third place with 510.63 points is John McLachlan
  • In second place with 506.47 points is Stuart Martin
  • and in first place with 485.82 points is Jack Ford
